I am going to sound really heartless with this - particularly since he has passed on - BUT:

I never understood why this boy's mother, who has the adult-onset form of the disease, kept having children when they were all born with this disease.

This was one band-wagon (after seeing him on Oprah) that I just never jumped on. I am not sure if it was because I just plain cannot watch sick children on television or if I just found something about it rather contrived. Book hoarder that I am, I never bought this one and never wanted to ...
