Oh Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese!
First he's 'puzzled' by Chalabi's behavior - a man whose garbage about Iraq served as ammunition in the case for the invasion. Now, he's apologizing to war correspondents because they are so scared to travel that they basically resort to reporting rumors and lies? Y'all following?
"Part of our problem is a lot of the press are afraid to travel very much, so they sit in Baghdad and they publish rumors. And rumors are plentiful," Wolfowitz told the panel.
First, Cheney blames"lazy reporters" for blurring the connection between Saddam and 9/11 (i.e. pointing out the Bushco lies). Then Rumsfeld was seen on C-Span saying that the press is dramatizing the prison scandal in Iraq - hence responsible for troop morale and future violence. Now Wolfowitz is calling the press a lot of lying, scaredy cats.
I get it now. Everything is the press' fault. Sad, sad, sad ...
