Why Isn't The FCC After Guys Like This?

I fully believe in freedom of speech but where do you draw the line with what is decent. How is this guy any different than Howard Stern? How is half the filth that comes out of his mouth any different that a millisecond of Janet Jackson's boob being exposed. This type of speech inspires hate, ignorance and violence. The sad thing is that he has tons of lowlife listeners who think exactly like this.

On April 17, nationally syndicated radio host Michael Savage called for "kill[ing] 100 million" Muslims and referred to the woman who alleged she was raped by members of Duke University's lacrosse team as a "drunken slut stripping whore."

On his radio show, Savage told listeners that "intelligent people, wealthy people ... are very depressed by the weakness that America is showing to these psychotics in the Muslim world. They say, 'Oh, there's a billion of them.' " Savage continued: "I said, 'So, kill 100 million of them, then there'd be 900 million of them.' I mean ... would you rather us die than them?" Savage added: "Would you rather we disappear or we die? Or would you rather they disappear and they die? Because you're going to have to make that choice sooner rather than later."

Savage also referred to the alleged Duke rape victim as "a drunken slut stripping whore accusing men of raping her when there is absolutely no evidence of such a rape other than what comes out of that filthy mouth of hers." He later asked: "What kind of system do we have that anyone can scream rape and not have to show her face?" adding, "This is all the product of the out-of-control lesbian feminist movement." Echoing previous comments he has made about the alleged rape victim, Savage said, "The Durham dirt-bag case disgusts me to my core."

This guy's hate-speech disgusts me to my core.

It would appear that Mr. Savage is part of the big smoke screen, sheilding the truth form our eyes.

Our enemy may well be our government - more so than terrorists.

I thought the whole point of the March protests on the Duke campus was to draw attention to this case. Now that the media is covering it, the complaints roll in about that coverage. You cannot have it both ways.

Savage is hardly the media and using vile and disgusting language to describe an accusor is just race-baiting and ignorant. The marches were to protest violence against women as a whole and to finally gain exposure about a LaCrosse team that has been acting out for years.

Well, now they are exposed. Was the price worth it? Did anyone really expect any different? Did no one learn anything from Katelyn Faber?

Not sure what Anonmous' point is. Is "it" saying that the woman shouldn't have reported the crime and that people shouldn't march against violence against women because hate mongers will get on the radio and call the accusors sluts? That makes perfect, redneck, misogynistic sense - but not much else.

If the accusor is a slut, what does that make the house full of drunken young men? They specifically hired two black strippers. Why?

We have no idea what went on in that house but when there are questionable intentions to begin with, something was bound to go very wrong and it did. Had these lewd students not hired "exotic dancers" and participated in underaged drinking, none of this would have happened. Wrong begets wrong. Same for the dancer. While her motives for choosing that means to make money may have been to feed her children and pay for school (and there are plenty of white girls who strip and provide escort services for college tuition or less) may have been honorable, she may have found other options for earning the funds. Again, her questionable choice in financing her education put her in questionable circumstances.

No matter what the outcome of the investigation, I hope people can take time to ponder how both parties got themselves into this nightmare.
