The cloak and dagger game this administration plays everytime it decides to pay a visit to one of our sponsored war zones is getting pretty old. This time Condoleezza pops up in Beruit like Secret Squirrel to pay a visit to the man whose country is being destroyed by our good friend Israel. I actually thought it was ridiculous and more like a slap in the face to show up bearing offers of aid after we allowed and encouraged our ally to destroy the place.

SURPRISE!....I have a wee request: Can we please stop treating as major news the unceasing "surprise" visits to the Middle East by various Bush administration luminaries? Rice does it, Rumsfeld does it, Cheney does it, Bush does it, and these things really aren't much of a surprise anymore, are they? More like a transparent effort to get a headline from a gullible press corps. It's time to wake up.
