Who's The Stalker Now?
Okay, whether you believe OJ did it or not, he's forever painted as a psycho stalker. Why can't Fred Goldman sit down somewhere?
Even though his son's life ended in the worst kind of way, IT IS OVER! OJ was acquitted. He has four children of his own whom, no matter what his father did or didn't do, deserve to inherit their father's estate. I understand that grief can be debilitating but Goldman is acting as crazy as OJ supposedly was and is coming off as nothing more than a greedy, money grubbing ass!
Fred Goldman will stop at nothing to get whatever money he can from O.J. Simpson, who was acquitted of the 1994 murders of his son, Ron Goldman, and her friend, Nicole Brown Simpson, yet found liable of the crimes in a 1997 civil trial that resulted in a $33.5 million judgment.
Goldman’s attorneys subpoenaed several Hollywood industry groups on Monday, seeking money Simpson was paid for TV appearances and work in such movies as "Naked Gun 33 and 1/3" and "The Towering Inferno." Goldman’s team believes Simpson diverted the residual payments to avoid paying any of the judgment.
"We're going to burrow to the center of the earth to find Simpson's assets," Goldman lawyer David Cook told Reuters. "These subpoenas today seek to uncover and unearth Simpson's catalog or portfolio of movie residuals."
The subpoenas demand records kept by the Screen Actors Guild (SAG), the Producers Guild of America and the American Federation of Television Radio Artists (AFTRA), which Goldman's lawyers believe will show how much Simpson has been paid and where the money has gone.

I completely agree -- Fred Goldman has passed "righteous anger," has gone onward through "unrelenting vengeance," and has finally become a parody of himself. I'm sure that if someone paid Simpson $33M to star in some movie, and Goldman seized it (satisfying the amount of the civil judgment), the first thing he'd do afterward would be to run to the courthouse and scream as loud as he could that it still wasn't enough.
What Goldman doesn't understand (or doesn't care about) is that society has clearly expected norms on how a person is supposed to act is a situation like this. When a horrible tragedy happens to you, you get your fifteen minutes of sympathy. Friends and relatives come over and cook dinner for you while you grieve, and complete strangers offer kind comments. But soon the casserole delivery service stops and the 7-11 clerk gives you the same impersonal "have a nice day" that everyone else gets. Why? Because everyone expects you to shed whatever tears you have to, then make whatever peace you can with the situation and get on with your life. Nobody likes a perpetual victim; even less so when the person is a *professional* victim.
