I'll Bet Obama Girl Would Like It
I'm not sure there's any ill or dismissive intent but, depending on the woman, this might not come off so hot.
A newer co-worker who sits across the wall from me has used the terms "gal" and "old lady (to refer to his girlfriend)" and because he's not old enough to be from that "era," I was little taken aback.
Barack is going to have to watch it. A sweet old lady might like it. Michelle might love it. But since this apparently isn't the first time he's done it, he's going to have to be careful that he doesn't get labeled (among other things) a sexist pig. I'm kinda tickled that the reporter shot back as if to say: "I've got your sweetie!"
Barack Obama passed off a reporter today in Michigan, and she seemed less than amused by his name for her.
"Hold on one second there, sweetie," he says.
The reporter signed off: "This sweetie never did get an answer to that question."
