W. Virginians Looking For a Full-blooded American To Be Prez

I've just listed a few tidbits from this article on why Obama is going to have such tough time in West Virginia. Hillary might win this state but, I certainly wouldn't be basking in the glow of winning over these kinds of folks. Does that mean I'm an elitist? I'm embedding comments because these clueless people have me stupefied.

Obama supporters believe patriotism is being used as code to harness racist sentiment. -- Uh, I think Obama has professed his love of this country on more than one occasion. Does he need to sign an oath of some sort in blood.

Josh Fry, a 24-year-old ambulance driver from Williamson, insisted he was not racist but said he would feel more comfortable with Mr McCain, the 71-year-old Vietnam war hero, in the White House. “I want someone who is a full-blooded American as president,” he said. -- Full blooded American? Wasn't he born in America? Isn't that what full-blooded American means?

Yeah, I'd be gnawing my leg off to get away from that crowd. I don't know if Obama needs to be down there shaking hands with them varmints. He might catch something ... like a shotgun bullet.
